Scope
This Notice explains how SBA uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, tags, and comparable tools. Our Privacy Policy addresses personal information more generally, and our Notice of Privacy Practices governs protected health information.
Categories of Technologies
We may use the following categories:
- Strictly necessary technologies for authentication, account security, fraud prevention, checkout, session management, consent preferences, and other functions needed to provide a requested service.
- Functional technologies that remember optional preferences and improve convenience.
- Analytics technologies that help us understand website performance, diagnose errors, and improve public pages.
- Advertising technologies on designated non-clinical public pages, where permitted by law and consistent with the consent or opt-out choices presented to the visitor. These may include services provided by Google or Meta.
Clinical and Authenticated Health Care Environments
We do not use third-party advertising, retargeting, or consumer advertising pixels inside patient portals, provider portals, telehealth encounters, secure clinical messaging, clinical questionnaires, medical-record views, or other authenticated clinical functions. Operational logging and security technologies may be used where necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, or audit those services. Advertising partners are not authorized to receive protected health information, appointment details, clinical communications, patient-portal activity, or other information whose disclosure would violate health privacy law.
Public-Site Analytics and Advertising
On designated public pages, analytics and advertising technologies may operate subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. They may receive ordinary technical identifiers and permitted event information. We configure public advertising activity so that it is not intended to transmit consumer health data, protected health information, care-seeking details, health-related search terms, or clinical information to advertising partners.
Your Choices
Where we provide a cookie or privacy-control interface, you can use it to accept, reject, or later change non-essential technology choices. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or other requested functions from working. Where applicable law requires recognition of Global Privacy Control or another valid opt-out preference signal, we honor that signal for covered sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity. Browser settings can also delete or block stored cookies.
Changes and Contact
The technologies used on a website can change as vendors and services change. We will update this Notice before materially changing how tracking technologies process personal or health-related information when applicable law requires notice or consent. Questions: support@sleepbalanceacademy.com
