Warranty Policy
What we promise about the condition of what we send you, how that works alongside the warranty from the company that made a product, how to make a claim, and what a warranty does not cover.

1What this covers
This applies to physical products you buy from Sleep Balance Academy PC. It explains three separate things that people often confuse: what we promise about the condition of what we send you, what the company that made a product promises about the product itself, and what your rights are under the law regardless of either.
Returns for any other reason, missing deliveries, and refunds are in the Returns and Refunds Policy and the Shipping Policy. Cancellations and billing for clinical services are separate again and are not warranty matters at all.
2What we promise ourselves
We promise that what arrives is what you ordered, that it is complete, and that it is not damaged or defective when it reaches you.
If any of that is wrong, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we put it right. You choose between a replacement and a refund, and if we cannot replace the item we refund you without argument.
We pay the return shipping when the problem is ours, which means a defect, damage, the wrong item, a missing part or a recall. You are not out of pocket for a mistake we made.
This applies to hygiene items too. An item that cannot be returned because you changed your mind is still covered when it is defective. There is no such thing here as a sale that is final when the product is faulty.
3The warranty from the company that made it
Many things we sell are made by other companies. Those products carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which usually lasts longer than 30 days and covers different things, such as a part failing after months of normal use. That warranty is between you and the manufacturer.
We do not send you away to deal with it alone.
Tell us and we will:
- work out which warranty applies to your item, and tell you what it covers and for how long
- give you the manufacturer's contact details and the process they use
- give you the purchase date, the item details and any serial or batch information from your order, which is usually what they ask for
- take the claim up with the manufacturer on your behalf where they will deal with us
- stay involved until it is resolved, rather than closing your message once we have passed you on
If a manufacturer refuses a warranty we told you applied, come back to us. We will look at it again ourselves rather than treating their answer as the end of it.
4How to make a claim with us
- Write to support@sleepbalanceacademy.com. Include your order number, or the email address you ordered with if you cannot find it.
- Tell us which item it is and what is wrong, in your own words. Photographs of the problem and of the packaging help a great deal and usually save a step.
- Tell us when you noticed it, and whether the item is still usable.
- Keep the item and its packaging until we tell you it can go. We will not ask you to destroy anything before it has been looked at.
We aim to reply within two business days. We will tell you which of the three routes applies to your claim: our own promise in section 2, the manufacturer's warranty in section 3, or a return under the Returns and Refunds Policy. We work that out; you do not have to.
If a claim is about an injury, a reaction or a safety problem rather than an inconvenience, say so. That is handled as a safety report as well as a warranty claim, and the Product Safety and Medical Disclaimer explains what happens next.
5What a warranty does not cover
A warranty covers a product that fails when it should not have. It does not cover everything that can happen to a product.
- Normal wear. Wear from ordinary use over time. A product reaching the end of its useful life is not a defect.
- Consumables and replaceable parts. Anything the instructions describe as needing regular replacement, such as filters, tips, cushions, tubing or batteries. Replacing those on schedule is part of using the product, and the interval is in the instructions.
- Misuse and accidents. Damage from an accident, from using a product in a way the instructions do not describe, from cleaning it with something the instructions warn against, or from using it with parts it was not designed for.
- Modification and outside repair. A product that has been altered, taken apart or repaired by someone other than the manufacturer or a repairer they name. A modified product is no longer the product that was tested.
- Loss after delivery. A product that is lost or stolen after it has been delivered to you. This is not a warranty question.
A parcel that never arrived is a different matter entirely, and it is not yours to prove. Missing deliveries go through the investigation in the Shipping Policy, where we check the address, look at the delivery evidence, ask the carrier to trace it and then replace or refund. We do not tell you that a missing parcel is your problem.
6Your rights under the law are not shortened
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, and those vary from state to state.
Some states do not allow a limit on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some do not allow certain damages to be excluded. Where that is your state, those limits do not apply to you, and the rest of this document still stands.
Nothing here asks you to give up a right that cannot be given up. Where something we wrote conflicts with such a right, the right wins.
7Recalls and safety remedies are outside this
Nothing in this warranty limits a recall or any other safety remedy. If a product is recalled, we put it right whether or not a warranty period has ended, whether or not the 30 day window in section 2 has passed, and whether or not the item was sold as final sale.
The same is true of a safety problem we find out about another way. We do not use a warranty term as a reason not to fix something that could hurt someone.
8Changes to this document
We update this document when what we do changes, when the law changes, or when we find wording that is unclear. Every version is kept, and each one records the date it took effect.
How you find out depends on how much changed. A correction that does not change your rights is simply published. A change that does affect your rights is announced before it takes effect. A change that materially alters what you agreed to is not applied to you by silence: we ask you to accept it, and continuing to browse the site is not treated as acceptance.
If you want a copy of an earlier version, or want to know what changed and when, write to support@sleepbalanceacademy.com and we will send it to you.
