This price includes Sleep MD interpretation and diagnosis. It does not include an Rx for the patient. Prescriptions require a telemedicine consultation with the MD to get a prescription for oral sleep appliance of CPAP or Bongo EPAP.
This option allows a patient to order a sleep test delivered directly to their home and when the testing equipment is sent back to us, is diagnosed by a Board Certified Medical Sleep Specialist who is licensed in all 50 states. This test comes with the assistance and counseling of Dr. Downs to help a patient understand their report. If the patient would rather have their own dentist explain the report or their family physician, they are welcome to share the study with them.
Any additional shipping charges that pertain to territories and island locations will receive a separate invoice if charges that exceed our normal shipping and handling.
DOT regulated truck drivers, commercial pilots, or commercial water navigation operators who might wish to keep all information in this test confidential and not share it in any medical record, employment record or insurance record are able to do so.
Those dentists or physicians who do not have an in office HST can help patients register for this test while in their offices.
Dentists or physicians who do have an in office HST but need to test many patients and not be limited by having only one or two HSTs, will want this as a way to not have those needed tests bottle necked by having none available in the office when a test is needed.
